Movies : ตุลาคม 1999 ：ได้แสดงภาพยนตร์เรื่องที่เขียนใหม่จากวรรณกรรม “ไป๋เหมียนฮัว” (Cotton Fleece) (หลี่ซงเฉียวกำกับ) ได้รับบทเป็นเด็กชนบท หม่าเฉิงกง ที่แอบรักผู้หญิงคนหนึ่งที่อายุของเธอแก่กว่าเขาตั้งหลายปี ได้ร่วมงานกับ หนิงจิ้ง, ตู้จงหัว เป็นต้น

อำเภอ เกาหมี่ นั้นมีชื่อเสียงทางด้านผลิตสำลีในจีน ผู้หญิงกลุ่มหนึ่ง ไม่แก่ไม่เด็กนั้นได้ตามผู้นำที่มีฝีมือ ทุกวันได้แบกเครื่องพ่นยาไปพ่นยา ปราบศัตรูพืช หม่าเฉิงกง ที่กำลังทำงานอยู่นั้นทั้งพ่นยาไปด้วย และยังแอบมอง ฟังปี้ยี่ ไปด้วย แอบหลงรักเธออย่างหมดหัวใจ แต่ ฟังปี้ยี่นั้นได้เป็นคู่หมั้นกับลูกชายของผู้ใหญ่บ้านไปแล้ว

คนงานในโรงงานนั้นหลี่จื้อเกา เป็นคนหนึ่งที่โดดเด่นกว่าใคร เป็นที่สนใจ และยังเป็นที่เลื่อมใสนับถือของ หม่าเฉิงกง อีกด้วย วาทะศิลป์ที่ยอดเยี่ยมของ หลี่จื่อเกา นั้นทำให้ หม่าเฉิงกง ไร้ความคิดของตัวเองและได้แต่เดินตามเขา แต่เป้าหมายของ หลี่จื้อเกา นั้น กลับเป็น ฟังปี้ยี่ ที่มาร่วมทำงานที่โรงงานกับ หม่าเฉิงกง

หลังเก็บเกี่ยวสำลีแล้ว ที่ว่างของโรงงานนั้นกองไปด้วยสำลีเป็นกอง ได้กลายเป็นสถานที่นัดรักของหลี่จื้อเกากับฟังปี้ยี่ ความรู้สึกที่ดีในใจของหม่าเฉิงกงต่อหลี่จื้อเกานั้นได้สูญสิ้นไปแล้ว เขาได้แอบเป็นห่วงฟังปี้ยี่อย่างลับๆ

การแอบคบหาการเป็นระยะเวลานาน นั้นสุดท้ายก็ถูกเปิดเผย ทำให้ก่อจงเหลียงซึ่งเป็นคู่หมั้นของฟังปี้ยี่นั้นไม่พอใจเป็นอย่างยิ่ง เวลานี้หลี่จื้อเกากลับไม่กล้าพูดอะไร ยอมแพ้กับฝ่ายตรงข้ามอย่างสิ้นเชิง

หม่าเฉิงกง ได้เห็นผลที่ได้รับของ ฟังปี้ยี่ ซึ่งเป็นคนที่เขาแอบชอบ เก็บความคับแค้นใจไว้อย่างเงียบๆ และก่อนจะจากที่นี่ไปนั้นฟังปี้ยี่ได้แสดงออกกับหม่าเฉิงกงว่า หากรู้แต่แรกว่าหม่าเฉิงกงมีใจให้ตัวเองแล้วเนี่ย ก็จะยอมตอบแทนสิ่งที่หม่าเฉิงกงให้มาแน่
